Joseph Bartholdi, young professional poker player, is the new toast of Vegas and the world after winning the Season 4 of the World Poker Tour Championship held on April 18-22, 2006 at the Bellagio.

Joe surpassed a total of 605 players, a record number of participants to any world poker event, then beat equally great players at the Final Table including the legendary Men "The Master" Nguyen. Aside from the 2006 WPT Championship title, he also took home $3.76 million prize money plus a sure seat to the 2007 WPT Championship.

With his WPT win, he has accumulated a total of $4,040,779 poker winnings and now ranks 3rd in CardPlayer's Player of the Year standings.

Among his past poker achievements include finishing 2nd at this year's Gold Strike World Poker Open (No Limit Holdem Final Day), 1st - 2005 Ultimate Poker Challenge, 6th- 2005 Annual World Series of Poker (No Limit Holdem Final Day), 3rd - 2004 35th Annual World Series of Poker (Pot Limit Holdem Final Day), 3rd - 2004 2nd Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic (Pot Limit Holdem Final Day), and 1st - Grand Slam of Poker 2003.
