Rinah Garcia, Philippines.
Rinah Garcia, a Filipino Professional poker player with multiple local major tournament finishes and wins and one of the most successful women players of the region. Coming off from her most recent win in the APPT Ladies Tournament in Macau, she answers some questions for us here in Pokerlessons.net.:

PL: How long have you playing poker?
Rinah: 5 years
PL: What games do you play?
Rinah: Texas hold'em no limit
PL: Why did you choose poker?
Rinah: Because its challenging, mind game and it is considered a sport.
PL: Have you won any major tournaments before? Local and International?
Rinah: APPT ladies tournament in Macau last August.
PL: Please tell a brief background about yourself.
Rinah: I’m a Certified Public Accountant and in business on commercial leasing.
PL: Have you learned anything while playing poker?
Rinah: Reading people's intent and expressions
PL: How do you handle men who treat women as weaker players?
Rinah: I will just play my game and not affected and intimidated at all. Actually, I don't mind playing against these type of men.
PL: If someone is thinking about going pro, what would you say to them?
Rinah: Go for it. It is worth it.
PL: At a final table, would you rather play against a pro that you understand or a lucky rookie who doesn’t understand the game?
Rinah: I have no preference on playing against anybody but I would rather beat a pro than a rookie.
PL: Do you play games other than Texas holdem?
Rinah: I also play majhong, omaha, and Chinese poker.
PL: If you could sit down and play a game of poker with any five people in the world (living or deceased), who would you pick?
Rinah: I wish to play with Doyle Bronzon, Liz Lieu, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein
PL: How do you explain the phenomenal increase in the popularity of poker recently?
Rinah: Playing Poker game especially online gives one a lot of opportunities that no other game can offer especially in big tournaments.
